Frequently asked questions
What is the refund policy on bouquets?
At Westland Farms, we pour our heart into growing high-quality, living products. Because of the nature of what we sell, we have established the following policies:
Fresh Bouquets
Due to flowers being a perishable, live product, we do not accept returns or offer refunds on bouquets. Once the flowers leave our care, their longevity is entirely dependent on the environment and care they receive. Please keep the following in mind to ensure your blooms stay beautiful:
Temperature: Flowers are sensitive! Extreme heat will significantly shorten their vase life, and freezing temperatures will kill them instantly.
Hydration: Always ensure your jar is filled with fresh, clean water. Stems that are left dry, even for a short period, will wilt and may not recover.
Care: To get the most out of your "Farmer’s Choice" bouquet, keep it in a cool spot away from direct sunlight.
What is the refund policy on tubers?
All tuber sales are final. Because we cannot control the environmental conditions, soil quality, or storage practices once the tubers are in your hands, we do not offer returns or refunds on tubers. We take great care to ensure we sell healthy, viable tubers with visible eyes. However, please understand that gardening involves risks, and we are not responsible for crop failure due to weather, pests, or improper planting/care.
Shipping & Handling
Tuber Shipping & Handling
We know you are excited to get your garden started! We aim to mail your tubers as soon as possible, but our shipping schedule is strictly dictated by the weather.
We’d love to share our products with everyone, but due to state agricultural laws, we cannot ship to Alaska or Hawaii. Thank you for understanding!
Temperature Safety: Dahlias are sensitive travelers. We are unable to ship if temperatures along the delivery route are below freezing, as this causes the tubers to rot.
Spring Timeline: We are located in Missoula, MT. Our shipping will be from April to mid-May. We will be diligent in monitoring national weather patterns and will get your tubers out as fast—and as safely—as possible once the threat of freezing has passed.
If you receive tubers that are damaged during shipping, please contact us within 24 hours with a photo of the tubers, and we will make it right.
We take every precaution to ensure our dahlias are healthy and to minimize the risk of soil-borne disease. We grow our plants in individual grow bags, providing a controlled and clean environment. While we strive for perfection, nature can be unpredictable, and even the most careful farms are occasionally affected by disease. If you encounter any issues, please reach out to us with a photo, and we will gladly make it right.
